The Indirect Planning - Marketing Signage team uses business insights and operational efficiencies to deliver and improve execution of In Store Marketing (ISM) signage projects.
The team manages printed materials for in-store marketing, weekly ads, and internal communications with a focus on quality, cost optimization, and timely delivery. The team also addresses ISM, fixture and accessory needs for new stores, remodels, and special projects, ensuring cost-efficiency and operational continuity.
The team’s responsibilities also include executing strategies, managing programs, and maintaining client and vendor relationships. Additionally, they handle category and procurement tasks, including purchase orders, forecasting, indirect inventory management data analysis, and brand quality. These efforts translate to provide a seamless experience for our guest in store.
As a Sr. Procurement Ops Professional in Indirect Planning, you are the SME for the team and will facilitate extending brand experiences to all store guests. You will work in partnership with key stakeholders across the enterprise to deliver on ISM strategies while providing consultation on key aspects across business categories to achieve KPIs. You will also partner with preferred vendors for specialized signs which provide a cohesive look and feel across categories and key to deliver a Target guest experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage Instore Marketing projects and indirect inventory for assigned critical categories by working in close partnership with Space, Presentation & Transitions Team (SPT) and Store Experience Marketing team (SEM)
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for ISM materials and fixtures, ensuring accurate planning to support seasonal peaks, new store launches, and remodels.
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and marketing partners to align demand planning with sourcing strategies, minimizing risk of stockouts or excess inventory.
- Lead data analysis and reporting need to enable data visibility and decision making on owned inventory budget.
- Lead cross functional CFTs to enable timely delivery of projects and set an example as a role model for the team (Lead by example)
- Facilitate reviews and discussions on ISM procurement in forums with upstream and downstream partners. Callout roadblocks and work on a solution-oriented approach to streamline connections across teams.
- Maintain specialized ISM signage repository, for reporting and sharing across IP and vendors.
- Support the execution of New Stores and Remodel cycles through analyzing store designs
- Collaborate with Minneapolis IPP team to ensure efficient project delivery within specified timelines. Participating in discussions and brainstorming enable data driven discussions to arrive at solutions for critical business issues.
- Provide L2 support for store queries on relevant marketing signage categories, arrive at resolutions within SLA.
- Ensure daily focus on KPIs, consult and recommend solutions to categories which are trailing to achieve the goal.
- Be a mentor for new TMs, onboard them to the business context and processes to ensure success in their roles.
- Represent procurement in major events and forums for brand building and visibility,
- Offer consultation to teams on both critical and ad-hoc deliverables. Ensure quality and accuracy of execution through audits as and when required.

Requirements
- Graduates with alteast 6+ year of work experience in a retail organization or similar setting
- Good knowledge of MS Office/ MS Excel and MS Access applications
- Open for flexible work hours and for hybrid work arrangements
- Strong communications, administrative and organizational skills
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical/critical thinking skills and ability to format data clearly and concisely
- Proven experience in demand planning, including the ability to forecast material and inventory needs to support operational continuity and cost optimization.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally align demand forecasts with internal teams, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of In-Store marketing materials and fixtures.
- Ability to think critically; anticipate long-term challenges and trends; understand implications of decisions; translate ideas and concepts into practical applications; should be able to connect dots to understand how his/her work relates to the work of other teams and the organization as a whole
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make timely decisions independently
