A role with Target in India Marketing (Roundel Creative) is an opportunity to work with some of the best in the business for marketing, creative strategy, media & digital and you’d lead work that connects to millions of guests. Your influence will drive sales and grow brand love through work that’s guest-centric, on brand, category relevant and channel focused. The Roundel Creative team is a group of experts fluent in Target’s creative vision, brand standards, and guest experience. Our capabilities span copywriting, content creation, art direction, design, motion graphics, and production. As Roundel’s creative hub, we craft strategic, insight-driven work that reflects cultural trends and inspires guests to engage with the brands they love.
About the role
As a Sr. Copy Writer (Roundel), you will:
Drive high-visibility projects, especially for larger enterprise brands or significant campaigns, translating vendor requirements into compelling creative solutions.
Acts as the Target and Roundel brand custodian, ensuring all creative outputs adhere to the guidelines. You should have a deep understanding of the audience, trends and retail landscape.
Guides and supports the team offering creative direction/feedback to ensure highest quality of work.
Leads by example in terms of creativity and innovation, sharing new trends, methodologies to elevate the creative output.
Works closely with the other team members across Creative and PM to refine creative concepts and strategies.
Ideates/contributes/takes lead at vendor meetings to present creatives.
Contributes to the development of the team’s creative vision mapped to our OKRs.
Recognize and collaborate with different teams on pitch and incremental opportunities.
Lead as the SPOC for other Roundel initiatives.
About you:
3-4 year college degree
8+ years of copywriting experience, digital/ecommerce copywriting experience preferred
Ability to manage and drive multiple projects at the same time
Ability to think strategically and bring an analytical mindset to problem solving
Deep understanding of multichannel marketing creative & communication
Consultative in client/ vendor conversations to communicate the creative direction
Exceptional communication skills across all settings, ability to tailor message as appropriate
Resourceful and able to work independently on filling in gaps of information
Able to demonstrate flexibility in approach and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Has curiosity and drive for seeking and promoting new ideas, channels, campaigns
